Easy Recipes to bring to Holiday Potlucks

Family gatherings and festivities around the holidays will always involve food and alcohol. Sometimes with a lot of family members, the host is sometimes bound to get everyone to contribute making it a potluck or maybe you’d even bring something anyway by being polite. But what can you bring that’s great yet simple especially if you procrastinated or got busy? Make appetizers or maybe even a dessert. Here are some food ideas you can bring and make.


Pigs in Blankets

Pigs in blankets are essentially sausage wrapped in bacon which are simple appetizers that require very little effort and are definite crowd-pleasers. You don’t need seasoning because bacon is already salty enough and also use a variety of dipping sauces to give it some variety. 



Despite tacos not being a very festive menu it can still be a great appetizer or main dish to bring. It takes no time at all to make and everyone loves tacos. Do remember to separate the filling and the shell before you bring it anywhere as it can become soggy. Plus it would be great for everyone to be able to build their own taco according to their preference so you don’t have to stress about the taste.


Charcuterie Board

Everyone loves a charcuterie board and they are really easy to assemble. All you have to do is buy a variety of cheese, meats, crackers, olives, fruits and nuts. It goes great with alcohol or regular drinks too. It’s a great idea for appetizers to bring 


Brownie or Cake 

Brownies and cakes now come in a box. Even if it’s from a box, making a dessert gives it a personal touch with a little extra effort and ingredients. You can even add a personal touch by adding your own toppings. Remember that your cake or brownie is done after you stick a toothpick in and only crumbs come out. 


There are plenty of simple dishes to make for festive potlucks just be careful with handling kitchenware. If you can’t make anything you can always buy something or just bring drinks.
