Ten or maybe twenty years ago, AI vacuums seemed impossible, much like flying cars seemed impossible in the real world. But now, seeing as what Dyson has in store for us in the future, flying cars probably doesn’t sound too crazy.
Get this…
Dyson has given us a glimpse of the new AI vacuum cleaner prototype that carries out multiple chores, such as vacuuming, cleaning the dishes, and tidying up any rubbish left on the floor.
This may seem like something you see in movies. However, Dyson is only less than a decade away from releasing this AI vacuum cleaner for every household to have across the world.
The announcement was made today in Philadelphia on Wednesday, 25 May 2022, at the International Conference on Robotics and Automation, or ICRA for short.
In addition, Dyson is also on the hunt to look for the best robotic engineers in the world to help create this AI vacuum cleaner. Currently, Dyson is looking to recruit 250 robotic engineers who have expertise in sensors, mechatronics, and machine learning.
This is Dyson’s first-ever largest recruitment drive, with plans to hire 700 engineers in the next five years. Currently, Dyson has hired 2,000 employees this year to work on this prototype, and the numbers will continue to grow in the future.
