Dota 2: TI10 Main Event Day 4 Results

The champions have fallen! Oh what a day it has been for the Dota 2 scene. Amazing games throughout TI10 Main Event Day 4, and we all know it only gets better from here.

Main Event Day 4 Results

Team Spirit vs OG

Starting off the day, we had the amazing matchup of Russia’s Team Spirit against the defending champions OG. In Game 1, although SumaiL showed everyone why he’s one of the best ‘carry’s in the world with his Tiny gameplay, it just wasn’t enough to defeat TS. Collapse’s Magnus was enough to put a stop to SumaiL’s control of the game. The highlight of the game was definitely when Collapse pushed SumaiL into their fountain, taking him out of the fight.

In Game 2, TS went out with all guns blazing from the start. At around 20 minutes, TS already has a 13-kill lead, with Torontotokyo’s ‘Ultra Kill’ sealing the deal. OG tried their best to come back, but with every team fight, TS just became stronger and stronger. In the end, OG lost one last team fight, leaving N0tail the only one alive. OG fought till the end, but a loss was inevitable. Team Spirit 2-0 OG.

T1 vs Vici Gaming

In the second game of the Lower Bracket Round 3, we get to see SEA vs China in T1 vs Vici Gaming. In the early stages of the game, we saw a very even match. Although T1 had a slight lead, Vici Gaming were still able to win some team fights here and there. At around 20 minutes in, that is when T1 went into full gear. With one good Reverse Polarity by Kuku, T1 took out 4 of VGs heroes, snowballing them to victory.

The second game went back and forth, with both teams having moments of control. However, Vici Gaming’s Lina + Faceless Void combo was just too good for T1, and after a good team fight, they conceded the game. In Game 3, it was another close game. However, at around the 25 minute mark, VG was already able to push the bottom lane barracks. They then forced a team fight at the top lane barracks, which they won, leading to their eventual win in game 3. VG takes this set 2-1.

Virtus.pro vs Team Spirit

Although they’ve just won against the defending champions, TS’s day is not over yet. For the last game of the day, TS went against their Russian brethren, Virtus.pro. With their confidence high, TS went to play a very aggressive game of Dota against VP, taking Game 1.

Virtus.pro came back fighting, taking game 2 with good Ursa gameplay from Nightfall. However, that was not enough for VP to seal their spot, as TS went on to win Game 3. It was again Torontotokyo’s Lina that carried this game to victory.

With these results, the defending champions are out of the tournament. OG and T1 go home in 7th place with US$1,000,500, while VP bagged US$1,400,600 in 6th place.
