Dota 2: TI10 Main Event Day 2 Results

Day 2 of the TI10 Main Event was underway and already we had a lot of amazing Dota played.

To kick things off, we started with two Upper Bracket games. Firstly, we watched an amazing set of games between PSG.LGD and T1. PSG.LGD has been the favorite of the tournament so far, but that doesn’t mean T1 can’t give them a run for their money. The set ended with PSG.LGD coming on top with 2-1, but props to T1 for giving us a very competitive game.

Next, there was Virtus.pro 2-1 against Vici Gaming. With VG winning the first game of the set, things looked hopeful for the Chinese team. However, Virtus.pro did not want to let go of their Upper Bracket spot too easily, and came back to win the next two games.

Moving on to the Lower Bracket, we get to see Team Spirit dominating against Fnatic, with a 2-0 win. In both games, Team Spirit did not give Fnatic any chance to breathe, and continued to pressure them, securing their spot and eliminating Fnatic in the process.

For the second game of the Lower Bracket, we have a battle written for the history books. Two brothers finally meeting head-to-head on TI10. SumaiL in OG vs YawaR in Quincy Crew. QC started the first game strong with YawaR getting kills left and right, but OG played the patient game. With one good push, OG forced QC to lose the first game. In Game 2, it was another competitive game, with QC dominating the early stages again but it just wasn’t enough. At the end, we were blessed with a moment of brotherly love, with YawaR wishing his brother good luck before surrendering, taking themselves out of the tournament.

Looking forward to Day 3

With Day 2 of the Main Event done and dusted, we say farewell to Fnatic and Quincy Crew, who go back home with US$800,400 each. On Main Event Day 3, we will kick it off with the Lower Bracket games, with T1 vs Alliance and VG vs EG. For the Upper Bracket, we will have IG vs Team Secret and PSG.LGD vs Virtus.pro.
