Dota 2: The International 10 (TI10) Day 1 Results

The International 10 is finally here. After a year without TI, and a lot of obstacles along the way, TI10 is finally underway! From 7th to 17th October, we will get to see the 18 best Dota 2 teams in the world battle it out for the Aegis of Champions.

For those of you new to TI, here’s a quick recap of how this tournament will play out. The 18 teams have been split into two groups, with 9 teams each. The top 4 teams in each group will be able to secure their spots in the Upper Bracket of the Main Event. The bottom team for each group will be eliminated while the rest will play off in the Lower Bracket of the Main Event.

Day 1 Results

Even on the 1st day, TI has blessed us with a lot of earthshaking games. Defending champions OG kicked off the Group A games with 2-0 wins against Alliance and Thunder Predator. However, they failed to assert total dominance due to a draw against Virtus.Pro. Currently, OG shares a similar fate to Invictus Gaming and Virtus.Pro in Group A.

In Group B, we didn’t get to see a lot of games yet. However, PSG.LGD are showing signs of dominating the group with wins against Team Spirit and Quincy Crew. The other Chinese teams in this group, Vici Gaming (VG) and Elephant, also look to control the top spots in Group B. VG and Elephant are currently tied for second place, after a win each against Beastcoast and SG Esports respectively. However, Fnatic ended their dominating streaks with a 1-1 draw with both of them.
