Please Don’t Bully Me, Nagatoro (Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro), also known as Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san, is now in production. The announcement premiered along with a celebratory visual from Misaki Suzuki, an anime character designer. Here is the official tweet of the production announcement.
For those unaware, Nagatoro is a romantic comedy about a freshman in high school who loves teasing and messing with her older male classmate. Since it’s a romance, the characters face many emotions, mostly jealousy, as they bond.
Manga author Nanashi wrote the original series in 2017, and it ran for 11 volumes under Magazine Pocket. The manga has around 1.8 million copies sold in print, and Kodansha Comics serialized the manga in English in October 2018.
Once he decided to adapt it, he went with Telecom Animation Film to make it into a 12 episode anime, which streams on Crunchyroll and other sites. Fans received the anime well, giving it a 7.4 on MyAnimeList. Even though there was a brief uproar on Twitter, fans and Telecom want a second season.
However, there is no further news on the premiere of the second season other than it’s in production.
