Christian Bale’s First Look in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’

With Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the way, fans can expect three more films and two more TV shows by the end of the year.

Christian Bale was recently sighted filming Thor: Love and Thunder, his upcoming Marvel debut, and a few photographs from the set have gone viral. Bale’s look as the film’s main villain has been unveiled in photos, and fans can’t believe how different he looks.

Bale is shown in full costume in the photographs that have gone viral from the set of the MCU film, donning silver and gray ensemble that covers his entire body. He’s also wearing silver face paint in these photos, making him unrecognizable.

Gorr the God Butcher, played by Christian Bale, will be a supervillain. Many people were surprised when the news broke that the actor who played one of the most popular iterations of Batman would also be in the primary cast of a Marvel film.

While at the season 3 premiere of Westworld in March 2020, Tessa Thompson, who is reprising her role as Valkyrie, confirmed to ET that Bale would be portraying a villain in the film.

“Christian Bale is going to play our villain, which is going to be fantastic,” she told ET. “I’ve read the script. I can’t tell you much. Lots of exciting text messages were exchanged between Natalie and I. We’re going to have fun. Taika is writing and directing. Some familiar faces. Some new people are coming into the mix. “

Thor: Love and Thunder will be released on May 6, 2022.
