Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers Returns

Almost 80 years old characters. Brand new look with a different storyline. First a cartoon, then a video game, now the movie.

May 13- This year, 2022 pack with some great animated movies/series. The upcoming American animated live-action/adventure comedy film Chip & Dale releasing on May 20 this year. The film was directed by Akiva Schaffer featuring John Mulaney, Andy Samberg, Seth Rogen, JK Simmons, Cory Burton, and Tress MacNeille. Written by Dan Gregor, Doug Mand.

The 2022 remake of the Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers was originally a cartoon series, the duo of anthropomorphic chipmunk brothers. Created in 1943 by The Walt Disney Company studios and developed by Jack Hannah.

Later on, the cartoon series was made in 1990 and became a popular arcade game. Both were developed and published by Capcom. Chip n’ Dale’s name was taken from Thomas Chippendale’s second name.

In modern-day Los Angeles, Chip and Dale are living amongst cartoons and humans but their lives are quite different now. It has been decades since their successful television series was canceled, and Chip has succumbed to a life of suburban domesticity as an insurance salesman.

Dale, meanwhile, has had CGI surgery and works the nostalgia convention circuit, desperate to relive his glory days. When an ex-cast mate mysteriously disappears, Chip and Dale must repair their broken friendship and take on their Rescue Rangers detective personas once again to save their friend’s life.

Chip is portrayed as being safe, focused, and having a mind for logical scheming. Dale, on the other hand, is more laid-back, dim-witted, impulsive, and has a very strong sense of humor. They both had a very similar appearance, but as a way to tell them apart, some differences were introduced: Chip has a small black nose and two centered protruding teeth, whereas Dale has a large dark red nose and a prominent gap between his buckteeth. Chip is also depicted as having smooth hair on top of his head while Dale’s tends to be ruffled.

After the initial nationwide release of the Chip & Dale movie, you can watch it for free with a subscription to Disney+ and in the said movie halls.
