Chinese President Praise Kazakhstan Government To Deal With The Protestors

Chinese President Xi Jinping praised the harsh action of the Kazakhstan government against the protesters there.

The praise was conveyed by Xi through a message to President Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev who was reported by the government media, Xinhua, Friday (7/1/2022).

In the message, XI said that the severity of the Kazakhstan government of the protesters was “very responsible”.

“You firmly take firm action in critical moments and quickly calm the situation, indicating the position of responsibility and sense of your obligation as a politician, and is very responsible for your country and the people,” Xi told Tokayev in the message.

Previously reported, Tokayev on Friday rejected the call to negotiate with protesters.

He also vowed to destroy the “armed bandit” and allowed his army to shoot off without a warning

“Terrorists continue to damage property and use weapons against civilians. I ordered law enforcers to shoot dead without warning,” Tokayev said.

He did not heed international calls for negotiations and called it nonsense. “We deal with armed and trained bandits, both local and foreign. With bandits and terrorists. So they must be destroyed. This will be done soon,” Tokayev said.

The protesters invaded government buildings in Almaty on Wednesday (5/1/2022) and engaged a shootout with police and the military. Authorities said, as many as 748 security officers were injured and 18 were killed.

Tokayev said Almaty was attacked by 20,000 bandits with a clear attack plan, coordination of action, and high combat readiness.
