Some time ago, there was a dog named Canon. The dog lives in Indonesia, precisely at the location of the Pulau Panjang tourist attraction, Pulau Baguk Village, Pulau Banyak District, Aceh Singkil Regency, Aceh, Indonesia. The dog went viral on social media, starting with someone uploading Canon’s story on Instagram. Canon is a cute black male dog owned by a fisherman. In the video circulating on social media, it can be seen that a group of officers attacked Canon with forked branches.
Canon looks uncomfortable so he barks a few times. Seeing the video, netizens were very angry and asked for this case to be investigated thoroughly. Finally, animal protection coalitions such as Animal Defenders Indonesia, represented by Doni Daheru, immediately went to Aceh to report the Canon case to the authorities at the Singkil location. Doni Daheru fights for justice in Aceh, while netizens make a petition for Canon’s justice.
This Canon dog died just as a number of the PP Satpol came and put it in a tapered basket. It is said that Canon died from being unable to breathe in the basket. A number of the PP Satpol also said that previously there was a ban on keeping dogs at the tourist sites, but what made the people angry was how they moved the Canon.
Canon is not a fierce dog, Canon is very welcome with new people so it’s not justified to hurt Canon like that. From this incident, we must learn that it is important to pay attention to the environment if we want to raise a dog. By paying attention to the environment around us, we will also automatically take care of our own dog’s life. So, rest in peace Canon.
