Some amazing aspect that makes Breaking Bad is worth to watch :

The Plot

It follows Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher who transforms into a ruthless player in the local drug trade, driven by a desire to financially provide for his family after being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Initially making only small batches, he expand to make larger batches and creates high demand.

Good guy gone bad plot or antihero plot. Initially a good person, but once Walter White starts his meth making business, he becomes someone else entirely, in which he refers himself as Heisenberg. See an interesting character development of how one chemistry teacher becomes the undisputed criminal in the area.

Enemies Among Family

Walter brother in law Hank Schrader is the head of D.E.A in town, and he is ambitious. Heisenberg is his number one list (without knowing he is Walter White). Imagine sitting together with the most dangerous person in each and every family gathering. Intense.

Crime Partner

Jesse Pinkman a.k.a the partner in crime. Initially a student, but they collaborate well since their first working day. Jesse is young, energetic, yet often clumsy. Their relationship is dynamic, you will never know what will they do next. Jesse also has his own personal life with his girlfriend and surroundings.

The Villains

Breaking Bad offers plenty of villains, each is difficult to defeat. Including the fierce Cartel Salamanca Brothers, the loyal Mike Ehrmantraut, also the smart Gus Fring, the high-level drug distributor who has a cover as an owner of a fast food restaurant.

Element of Comedy

Breaking Bad is not only about gangster threats. Creator Vince Gilligan throws in some fun characters including Saul Goodman, a flamboyant lawyer that started his career as a con-artist. He is a well known trickster and later becomes Walter White’s lawyer. It is always fun to see Saul Goodman (It’s all Good Man).

Superb Cinematography

Set in a desert location of Albuquerque, New Mexico with such stunning view. Its simply 10/10 for Breaking Bad’s cinematography, it offers creative cinematography with perfect shots every time, from utilising wide shot, objects point of view, silhouette shot, time lapse, slowmo, all in once.

Inspired by The Sopranos

Breaking Bad is highly inspired by The Sopranos with plenty of similarities. Both are the ultimate definition of an anti-hero gangster series. The first few eps might be slow, but once you’re there, you will experience a non-stop thrill. Each season ends beautifully too with solid writing, storyline, and character development.

Breaking Bad is widely known as one of the greatest series of all time. They won a total of 16x Emmy Awards, including 2x best series in 2013 and 2014, most of the actors won Emmys for their performances too. My favorite TV series so far!
