Black Adam Movie: His connection to Shazam, New Technology, and Release Date

For Black Adam, Dwayne Johnson’s superpowers will be brought to life with cutting-edge technology. Fans have been waiting much longer than expected to see Johnson play the DC anti-hero because he is one of the world’s biggest movie stars. The wait will be over in 2022, when Black Adam arrives in theaters over the summer, and The Rock has hinted that his arrival in the DC Extended Universe would alter the shared universe’s hierarchy of power.

Black Adam is a DC Comics anti-hero, and in a recent exclusive interview with Seven Bucks Productions president, Hiram Garcia, stressed how serious they are about the severity with which Black Adam administers justice: “There are a lot of people that may start alive in a Black Adam movie and may not be there at the end of the movie.” With the long-awaited film finally completed, Garcia expressed his delight with the film they created, as well as director Jaume Collet-Serra’s vision for the DC film (with whom Garcia and Johnson collaborated on Jungle Cruise).

Is the balance of power about to shift now that the Justice League is no longer the major focus of the DC cinematic universe? “We’re definitely focusing now though on building out our world. Obviously, Shazam! does exist in the same universe as Black Adam, and there are some other crossover elements you might feel in our movie. In terms of the details of how they all merge together, though, is still in the works.”, Garcia explained.

This revelation raises the possibility of a fight between Black Adam and Shazam in the future. It’ll be intriguing to see Zachary Levi go up against The Rock in terms of aesthetics.

Black Adam is set to hit theaters on July 29, 2022.
