Celebrating Birthdays once a year is our way of thanking for another year and another life. Birthday means Karaoke, Foods, visitors, relatives and anything that makes you happy. well, the only sad about birthdays is you get old every year. But what most exciting about birthdays you can eat the food you don’t usually eat. Cakes, Lechon, Salad and more birthday dishes that can ruin your diet in just one occasion. But don’t you know that there is one food in any Filipino Birthdays that wouldn’t complete without it?

This is it Pancit! Once you heard a loud noise from karaoke and tent outside no doubt another person is celebrating his birthday. Don’t be shock if after an hour someone will knock on your door holding a plate of Pancit with slice of bread. Filipino used to cook Pancit to celebrate “Long live” or “to more birthdays to come”. Pancit became the Birthday Noodles because it has meat and vegetable and easy to prepare. If you have budget, you have 2 option to choose Pancit or spaghetti but most of Filipinos chose Pancit because it is cheaper.

Filipino find it bizarre if one of neighbor cooked Pancit without any occasion. Because once you cooked Pancit automatically it followed by “Whose birthday it is?” Pancit is the main center of attraction in every Filipinos birthday, it is not a drill but became traditional. This tradition handed down from generation to generation to say thank you for all the joy and blessings.
With or without occasion Pancit is still the best no one can argue on that. But what’s more make a birthday especial is not just because of the Pancit but because you celebrate your day with your family.
