Biden: Vladimir Putin Giving ‘Clear Sign’ of Considering Chemical Weapons In Ukraine.

Joe Biden has said in a Monday event in Delaware that Russia’s false accusation of Ukraine having biological and chemical weapons is a “clear sign” that Putin may use them himself.

Biden continued to say that the Russian President’s “back is against the wall and now he’s talking about new false flags he’s setting up including, asserting that we in America have biological as well as chemical weapons in Europe – simply not true. I guarantee you.”

“They are also suggesting that Ukraine has biological and chemical weapons in Ukraine. That’s a clear sign he’s considering using both of those. He’s already used chemical weapons in the past, and we should be careful of what’s about to come.”

Without providing specifics, Biden said that Putin “knows there’ll be severe consequences because of the united Nato front.”

These remarks are shared by earlier comments by several countries alongside Washington officials, who accused Russia of spreading an unfounded claim that Ukraine was developing bioweapons to prelude and justify its own biological or chemical weapons.

Biden’s speech came after the Pentagon had seen “clear evidence” of Russian war crimes and that evidence was being gathered. In a statement last week, Biden had branded his Russian counterpart a “war criminal”, “murderous dictator” and “thug”. The Russian foreign ministry said these comments were “unworthy of a state figure of such a high rank.”

The United Nations’ international court of justice has demanded Russia to cease its Ukraine invasion, and a prosecutor at the international criminal court is investigating war crimes. However, Kremlin officials had earlier stated that Russia is not a part of the ICC and therefore is exempt from its courts.

Volodymyr Zelensky continued on Monday to push for direct talks with Putin, saying “Without this meeting, it is impossible to fully understand what they are ready for to stop the war.”

A face-to-face meeting has yet to happen between Zelensky and Putin, despite it being one of Putin’s demands told earlier to Turkish officials.

Despite Russian forces stepping up violence on a near-daily basis, Zelensky has said that Ukraine will never bow to Russian ultimatums.
