Beyoncé teases the promise of new music and she is almost ready to release her highly anticipated next album after a five-year hiatus from solo releases.
In her cover story for Harper’s Bazaar‘s September Icons Issue, in which she models some of the Texas-inspired clothes in her new IVY PARK x Adidas collection. The 39-year-old singer teased the promise of new music and said that she had been in the studio “for a year and a half” working on new music.
Queen B stated in an interview “With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again,”
Continuing, she said “I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible. I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half. Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies. Still, there’s nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio.”
“Yes, the music is coming!” she added, just in case it wasn’t clear enough.
Lemonade, Queen B’s most recent solo studio album, came out in 2016. Since then, she’s worked on a variety of projects, including her and Jay-collaborative Z’s album Everything Is Love, her Homecoming documentary, and The Gift soundtrack for the Lion King remake.
