Mental health has been needing more and more attention, especially among new public figures. Avicii’s father, Klas Bergling has opened up about the death of his son on the 20th of April 2018. He called for more mental health support for new artists and said fame and fortune are a very dangerous combination. “When you have an up-and-coming artist there should be some structure,” “a serious discussion couldn’t hurt,” Klas said regarding young artists’ mental health wellbeing. Either way, Avicii’s father thanks the fans for “every amazing tribute you have given Tim and his music”

Klas Bergling suggested in his new interview with The Times that the music industry needs to give more support to their artists on their mental health. He revealed that no one is to blame for his son’s suicide but if there is, it should start with him. He said that we should call it as it is. After the death of Avicii, His family set up a mental health foundation in his honor, The Tim Bergling Foundation.

If you know anyone who is struggling with mental health, don’t forget to give them support whenever you can.
