Spider-man No Way Home’s Andrew Garfield MCU Debut

Andrew Garfield has been making headlines for all the right reasons, and his recent interview is earning more love. The actor is finally letting fans know about the truth behind Spider-Man: No Way Home in an interview with Variety.

“I wasn’t expecting to ever have a conversation again about potentially playing Peter Parker. I felt very excited to just to be a fan again,” he said.

However, he revealed that the opportunity was “immediately undeniable” when he got the call.

“The pitch was really, really enticing. They said, “You played this character in your way and what would you want to explore if you had an opportunity? If you were dumped into this other universe and faced with this younger you and this older you, how will you respond?” he explained.

Garfield previously played Peter Parker in 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man along with its sequel, but its sequential films were cancelled. Little did he know that he would later return to the role. This time, alongside current superhero Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire who played the character in Sam Raimi’s trilogy.

“We were shooting for two weeks, Tobey and I, but I think we managed to achieve something that is not just showing up and going, “Hi! Bye!” Garfield said.

“I think the first time we were all in the suit together, it was hilarious because it’s like just three ordinary dudes who were just actors just hanging out. But then also, you just become a fan and say, “Oh my god we’re all together in the suits and we’re doing the pointing thing!” he said.

The 38-year-old star also shared the sweet truth behind one particular scene.

“There’s a line I improvised in the movie, looking at [Maguire and Holland] and I tell them I love them. That was just me loving them,” he revealed.

Garfield also took the time to share more love during his interview.

“I love that character and I’m grateful that I got to work with these incredible actors, this incredible director, and Marvel in conjunction with Sony.

It was joyful, and a feeling of closure for me,” he added.
