Netflix pumps another anticipation for the survival game series genre not long after Squid Game took the cake last month. During the Netflix Festival Japan 2021, which was held for 2 days to announce a list of upcoming releases including both live-action and anime titles, the release of live-action Alice in Borderland season 2 is expected to be in December 2022.
The announcement was delivered by two main casts of the series itself, Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya, during the event. Netflix stated that Alice in Borderland season 2 will be broadcasted worldwide in December 2022, exactly 2 years after the initial release of season 1.
“We’re still in the shooting process”, uttered Tao Tsuchiya in the livestream.
This is the first latest update regarding the series ever since Netflix confirmed that they would renew it for another season on 24th December 2020.
Kento Yamazaki, starring as the main character Arisu, told the audience to look forward to viewing the upcoming season as it will reveal many mysterious things surrounding the story, specifically the purpose of the death game in the series.
