6 Underrated Miniseries

Miniseries are the right choice for those of you who want to see a series with a short runtime. Usually miniseries only have less than 10 episodes in total. With a run time of less than one hour. Here I will presenting some of underrated and undiscovered miniseries for you.

1. Sharp Objects (2018)

A psychological thriller miniseries that follows Camille Preaker, a top crime reporter suffering from alcoholism and self-harm. As she returns to her small hometown of Wind Gap, Missouri, she finds herself once again under the dark story of the past, which forces her to confront her personal demons.

2 The Virtues (2019)

Joseph’s life breaks down when his youthful child and ex-wife move to Australia. He voyages to Ireland, looking for out his repelled sister Anna, who he has not seen in over 30 years. In doing so, he uncovers a dull, awful occurrence from his past, the memory of which he has long-since smothered.

3. Olive Kitteridge (2014)

The winner of best miniseries at Emmy Awards 2015. This drama story follows Olive Kitteridge, a misanthropic, strict, retired school teacher who lives in the seaside town of Crosby, Maine. She has experienced problems of depression, bereavement, jealousy, and friction within its family members and among friends.

4. Unorthodox (2020)

A drama series that takes after a 19 year-old Jewish lady. Called herself Esty, who is living miserably in a ultra-orthodox Jewish community in Williamsburg, New York. She runs absent to Berlin and finds the life exterior her orthodox-community is exceptionally much diverse whereas she rejects all of the convictions she developed up with.

5. Dr. Death (2021)

Based on the unnerving true story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch. A youthful, shrewd, and charismatic specialist in Texas. Who after building a neurosurgery home, his patients starts to take off being forever crippled or dead. As his casualties heap up, 2 individual specialists and Dallas prosecutor Michelle Shughart set out to halt him.

6. Devs (2020)

From the creator of ‘Ex Machina’, this Sci-Fi miniseries follows Lily Chan, a software engineer working for Amaya quantum tech company. She becomes embroiled in the mysterious death of her boyfriend, who died on his first day of work at Devs (a technology owned by Amaya Quantum Company).

Watching miniseries is actually the same as watching TV series. But with shorter runtime, having a more concise storyline and more engaging in each of its episode. Out all of the miniseries above, Sharp Objects is one of my favourite, how about you?
