5 Facts About Yuta Okkotsu in Celebration of ‘’Jujutsu Kaisen 0’ Movie Release!

It hasn’t been a week into Jujutsu Kaisen 0 international movie release, so here are 5 interesting facts that you need to know about the movie’s main star – Yuta Okkotsu!

  • Throughout Season 1, he was training in Africa

Newer fans might be confused as to why Yuta was absent throughout the whole season 1 of the anime, although he made an appearance in Jujutsu Kaisen’s 2nd opening in the anime.

The reason why was that he was training in Africa alongside Miguel, an African sorcerer who managed to impress Gojo Satoru.

  • He’s a far relative of Gojo Satoru

Surprisingly, Yuta is a distant relative of Gojo as they both share a powerful ancestor – Michizane Sugawara who is one of the Big Three Vengeful Spirits.

This proves the fact that the power is inherited from generation to generation, as Gojo is one of the most powerful sorcerers in the world and Yuta is even said to have more cursed power than Gojo.

  • He may surpass Satoru Gojo in power

Satoru Gojo, famous for owning the title of the ‘Strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer” mentioned briefly to Yuji Itadori that an upperclassman (referring to Yuta) possesses the capability to surpass Satoru Gojo in strength one day.

  • Yuta is schedule for an “execution”

The higher-ups in Jujutsu Kaisen High School have already finalized Yuta’s execution, as he possessed a special-grade curse, who is his childhood friend Rikka Orimoto.

To prevent his execution, he made a binding vow with the higher-ups to kill Yuji Itadori, as Yuji Itadori also possesses a special-grade curse named Sukuna.

  •  Yuta is able to perform “Cursed Speech”

Like Toge Inumaki, Yuta is able to replicate the ability to do “Cursed Speech”, which is a technique that is only inherited through the Inumaki Family bloodline.

At first, Yuta replicated the ability with a megaphone but is able to proficiently perform the ability with his mouth, making the Snake Eyes and Fangs insignia appear like Toge Inumaki.
