2023 RAM TRX Havoc Edition: All Options Onboard With Exclusive Baja Yellow Paint

There’s enough dinosaur-named performance trucks out there to make a Jurassic Park commercial, and the newest addition to the enclosure is the 2023 Ram 1500 TRX Havoc edition, which is yellow.

That’s about it really – what’s exclusive in the truck is the Baja Yellow color, so you’ll be getting it just for the paint. Underwhelming? Perhaps, but the truck itself is no slouch. It comes fitted with a number of optional equipment to sweeten up the Havoc.

Nothing has changed here; it’s still got the same 702 horsepower, 650 lb-ft of torque Hellcat V8 mated to an eight-speed auto. The 4WD has been left untouched, so mechanicals are all the same. It still does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and has a limited top speed of 190 km/h, and fuel economy should be the same.

All Options Onboard

Dodge (or rather, RAM) has included all sorts of goodies, so you don’t really have to convince yourself that you aren’t getting this TRX just for the color. The TRX Level 2 Equipment Group includes useful options like cargo tie-ins for the truck bed, spray-in bed liner, a cab-mounted LED brake light, a bed step, and a dual-pane panoramic moonroof. The beadlock-capable wheels are blacked out as well.

Cozy for a ‘Havoc’

Included in that same package are heated/cooling seats, a wireless charging port, heated steering wheel, and safety features like lane keep assist, pedestrian emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. The inside offers leather-trimmed seats with Prowler Yellow stitching all over, Havoc badging on the center console lid, a head-up display, and carbon fiber trims and accents.

This isn’t the first time RAM has rolled out special editions of the TRX – in fact, the Ignition Edition, revealed in 2021 with an exclusive shade of orange, with only 875 units made. It’s strange how there aren’t any color options other than black, maybe it’s just excessive listening to one Rolling Stones song. You could call it a color paywall, an expensive one at that too, coming in at $106,445. But it’s an all-in-one package, so there’s some food for thought. The Havoc Edition rolls out in the first quarter of 2023.
